The Medic in our team commented that normally when he is in a vehicle he hates the glass breaking part because he gets some glass pieces in his overalls and sometimes no matter how much you cover the casualty you can still get some glass flying around, but with the Packexe on the glass he did not get any and he felt much safer as there was no glass flying around inside the vehicle.

Packexe SMASH was available in two pits for the West Midlands Challenge, giving competitors the chance to use Packexe SMASH for their glass management. February has seen us out on the road, visiting fire and rescue services up and down the country.

After discussions with various brigades we have set out to demonstrate the system, giving you some initial training and the chance to try Packexe SMASH first hand. The visits have allowed firefighters to put Packexe SMASH through its paces, showing great enthusiasm to trial it and suggesting ways the product can be used in line with current processes. It is great to receive such feedback and interest.

The visits have been a great success, with 4 fire and rescue services already using Packexe SMASH operationally and many regions in the final stages of evaluation

Please comment below if you were at one of our visits? What are your thoughts on Packexe SMASH?

We would be happy to arrange a visit/training day in your region, if this is something you are interested in please contact us.

The Packexe SMASH team sponsored the South Wales Regional Challenge that took place on the 8th May 2010. The rain managed to hold off and an enjoyable day was had by all. There was lots of interest in Packexe SMASH and the Hampshire and London teams used the product in the challenge pits as it was ideal for their particular scenarios.

The teams did very well and Bridgend won the South Wales Challenge, successfully getting the casualty out of a very difficult scenario within the 20 minutes challenge time, so well done Bridgend. Hampshire, won the guest team section, they put Packexe to good use after receiving a tricky scenario with a window filled Ford Galaxy.
